The structural, dielectric and piezoelectric properties of (1—x)PbZr0:52Ti0:48O3{xBaFe0:5Nb0:5O3ceramic system with the composition near the morphotropic phase boundary were investigated as a function of the BaFe0:5Nb0:5O3content by X-ray diαrac- tion (XRD), dielectric measurement and piezoelectric measurement techniques. Studies were performed on the samples prepared by solid state reaction for x = 0:10, 0.12, 0.14, 0.16, 0.18 and 0.20. The XRD analysis demonstrated that with increasing BFN content in (1—x)PZTxBFN, the structural change occurred from tetragonal to the mixture of tetragonal and cubic phase.
