The requirement for more application-driven theoretical developments, such as numerous successful practical applications of different uncertainty techniques based on well-developed theories are discussed. Probabilistic method can be applied for describing uncertainty, in which the uncertainty is described by probability measures. A fuzzy set can be viewed as an equivalent class of random sets.
