These techniques are modified from the modulation control technique of the conventional transformerless inverter topology that generates three voltage-levels with very small varying common-mode voltage which can reduce the common mode current in the single-phase PV system. The modified modulation method with two phase-shifted triangular carrier waves was developed to provide a five voltage-levels output waveform of the single-phase cascaded multilevel transformerless inverter with very small varying common-mode voltage also based on R-L test load.
