The dyeing of cotton fabric was carried out with natural dye extraction from uncaria gambir bark by conventional and ultrasonic method. The study showed that the use of ultrasonic energy can be useful in the reduced batching time. In this case, the color strength (K/S) and dye fixation (F%) also enhances without any adverse effect on color fastness of the dyed fabric. The ultrasonic method gives nearly the same color fastness properties as the conventional method.
