Characterization of Environmentally friendly materials used as wastewater treatment material has been studied in order to compare the quality of wastewater in Chiang Mai, Thailand on two types of treatment materials, which are cow bone char (CBC) made from Thai cow bone char cleaned and calcined at 850°C and the a mineral called "zeolite" (ZLT) bought from Kamthiang market, Chiang Mai. The physical characteristics of both types of materials indicate that the CBC has a higher density than the ZLT but has lower pore volume than the ZLT. The effect of density on the water quality improvement was showed that CBC was a suitable type of wastewater treatment material because their high density can fix them in the batch system. © (2011) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. 2014-08-30T03:24:14Z 2014-08-30T03:24:14Z 2011 Conference Paper 9.78304E+12 10226680 10.4028/www.scientific.net/AMR.311-313.1583 86611 http://www.scopus.com/inward/record.url?eid=2-s2.0-80053000875&partnerID=40&md5=6080968f3d08d747ae1a72a6d41ac9ea http://cmuir.cmu.ac.th/handle/6653943832/6456 English
