Summary: | © 2019 Kasetsart University. An increasingly interdependent world requires a concept of global citizenship which transcends geographical, cultural, and religious borders. This paper argues that any robust concept of global citizenship needs to imbue students with a sense of social responsibility, as well as the ability to compassionately imagine the lives of others. The author maintains that the objectives of Thailand’s Social Studies curriculum provide such a normative model, one which can be emulated and adapted worldwide. |
