Summary: | The objective of this study was to investigate the expectations and satisfactions of patients toward food service in Siamrad Hospital Chiang Mai. The population of this study was 50 patients, which were willing to cooperate in the study. Data were collected by questionnaires and analyzed by frequency, mean, percentage and standard deviation. Most of patient lived in Patan sub-district (32.00%). They were female (62.00%) and aged between 21 - 40 years old (44.00%). They were Buddhist (78.0%) and graduated in secondary education level (36.00%). Their occupation was state enterprise employee and employees (30.00%), with an average income more than 10,000 Baht per month (34.00%). They admitted in the hospital for 1 - 2 days (90.00%) and preferred sweet food (26.00%).
The results showed that in overall, the expectations of patients toward food service were at highest level, the most expectation toward food was the diversity of food (4.72), followed by the expectation toward containers and utensils (4.50) used with food (4.52), which was the expectation on clean and free of dirt food containers, and adequate containers and utensils. In overall, most of patients satisfied in food service at high level. The most satisfaction toward food characteristics was the variety of food, followed by the satisfaction toward containers and utensils (3.51) which was the satisfaction on clean and free of dirt containers(3.58)respectively. |
