Summary:The objectives of this study were to 1) compare the competencies of technical personnel in Squadron 411 at Wing 41 and technical personnel in Squadron 401 at Wing 4 2) compare morale and motivation of technical personnel in Squadron 411 at Wing 41 and Squadron 401 at Wing 4 3) guideline to enhance the competency of technical personnel in Squadron 411 at Wing 41 and Squadron 401 at Wing 4 4) guideline to improve the technical personnel morale and motivation in Squadron 411 at Wing 41 and Squadron 401 at Wing 4 The methodology of this study used quantitative research. The tool was questionnaires to collect data from target group. That was 54 staff from technical personnel in Squadron 411 at Wing 41 and 51 staff in Squadron 401 at Wing 4. The results show that: The competency of technical personnel in Squadron 411 at Wing 41 and Squadron 401 at Wing 4, in both knowledge and skills were high level in overall. The result of competency test found no difference between the two squadrons. The morale and motivation of technical personnel in Squadron 411 at Wing 41 and Squadron 401 at Wing 4 found that the morale and motivation of technical personnel in Squadron 411 was statistically significant at higher level than technical personnel in Squadron 401. The technical personnel in Squadron 411 at Wing 41 have morale and motivation in the highest level but the technical personnel in Squadron 401 at Wing 4 have just morale and motivation in high level. The guideline to enhance the competency of technical personnel in Squadron 411 at Wing 41 is to provide instructors and technical experts to give some advices and helping for off the job training, its means suspend from job temporary in order to take additional training outside workplace. For the guideline to enhance the competency of technical personnel in Squadron 401 at Wing 4 is to provide technical experts for coaching while operating or off the job training. That is observing activities in squadron and airbase. The guideline to improve the technical personnel morale and motivation in Squadron 411 at Wing 41 and Squadron 401 at Wing 4 suggested that both squadrons are similar, that is giving them opportunity to use their knowledge and abilities in a fully functional and independently, not too much control. The assignments should match their skills and knowledge in order to feel a sense of dignity in their work. The assignments should also be suitable position in order to instill a sense of responsibility and recognition skills, knowledge and works of subordinates and colleagues. The guideline to make satisfy their works is to improve and make a good relationship between colleagues, improved facilities, modern equipment for convenient and safety and definition of policies in workplace clearly and notify to acknowledge.
