Summary: | The objective of this research was to study the Behavior According to Sustainable Consumption Concept of Small and Medium Entrepreneurs in Mueang Chiang Mai Towards Using Domestic Parcels Delivery Services. The samples collected were from 200 private companies, transport stations and post offices in Meuang Chiang Mai using non-probability and quota sampling techniques. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics of frequency, percentage, and mean of the analysis of the differences between the two groups of samples.
The research revealed that there were differences in domestic parcel service behaviors between two groups of consumers: sustainable consumption consumers and general consumers. Mostly they differ on factors for using domestic parcel services, domestic parcel recipients, the ways of parcel service, and emphasis on using domestic parcel service following the sustainable consumption concept.
Moreover, the two groups emphasized on the reliability of a service provider and using environmentally sound practices or reusing bubble wrap. Secondly there were a lot of appropriate and conveniently accessible services. And lastly, seeing employment in that region as an important thing.
Furthermore, the opinions towards using domestic parcel services affected social, economic and environmental factors. The sustainable consumption consumers thought negatively about these three factors. In the other hand, the general consumers showed impassive opinions. It demonstrated that the two groups actually had different attitudes about the three factors effecting domestic parcel services use; in particular, the sustainable consumption consumers had results closer towards the norm more than the general consumers. |
