Summary: | The objective of this research was to study the Developing of Lost and Found Management System for Chiang Mai Tourist Police Station 1 by employing Research and Development (R&D) methodology. The instruments used to collect the data were an interview and a questionnaire. The first data was collected by interviewing 3 interviewees who were the police officers of Chiang Mai Tourist Police Station 1. The interview focused on the management of lost and found system, problems, and needs of the police officers on developing system and website of Chiang Mai Tourist Police Station 1. Secondly, data collection was the questionnaire about satisfaction with the system of 3 respondents who were the police officers of Chiang Mai Tourist Police Station 1. The last data was also collected from a questionnaire that focused on satisfaction with the developed website of 20 respondents who were tourists and bus drivers.
The results of the study showed that the overall satisfaction of the police officers with the development of the website in all 5 aspects was very satisfied because the developed system and well-designed website meet their needs. Besides, the system and the website were very simple and easy to use for the police officers which reduced their work procedures and saved time. These were also allowed foreign tourists to access the system easily, promptly, and anywhere.
In terms of the satisfaction of tourists and bus drivers with the lost and found management website that the researcher created in accordance with the principles of website development design, it was found that the tourists and the bus drivers visiting the website were satisfied with the website in the same page and the overall satisfaction was at the highest level. Because the website design was well-organized and simple, the composition of the page was not complicated. It also represented the uniqueness of the department. Interestingly, utilizing proper pictures, colors, and positions of the pictures could convey messages exactly and be very functional. |
