Intestinal perforation due to Macracanthorhynchus hirudinaceus infection in Thailand
The ninth record of human infection with the acanthocephalan worm Macracanthorhynchus hirudinaceus in Thailand is reported. The parasite was removed during laparotomy after perforation through the intestine of a 30-year-old woman.
