Description
Summary:Since more academic journals are being published in Thailand, we have considered four aspects of quality in these journals: a) peer selection by Commission for Higher Education (CHE) or Thailand Research Fund (TRF); b) ranking in the top ten journals in terms of Thai Journal Citation Index (TCI) Impact Factor; c) number of papers cited in ISI-WOS during 1999-present; d) listing in one or more international databases. Some 228 journals published in Thailand were surveyed, and information on these four qualities was provided on 83 selected journals. Some factors correlated well, while others did not, so administrators and researchers should be aware that proper evaluation of the journals published in Thailand should consider various aspects of quality.
