Large mosquitoes had greater reserves than small mosquitoes. Mosquitoes deposited similar proportions of lipid reserves obtained from blood meals in their ovaries regardless of body size. Small mosquitoes deposited a significantly higher proportion of their glycogen in ovaries than large mosquitoes.
