The survival rate, PLB (protocorm-like body) formation, number of PLBs shoot-1 and relative growth rate were 69, 69%, 1 PLB shoot-1 and 139%, respectively. The highest production of shoots were observed on PLBs cultured on Vacin and Went (VW) agar medium supplemented with 1.5 ppm BA.
