The concept of Beacon device equipped with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology is used to identify a position in a building, and it also works with smartphones to verify identification. With a combination of both factors, the effectiveness of tracking and identifying people in the area increases. The purpose of this study is to study the feasibility of the beacon technology to position tracking and identifying people in micro-location base and to compare functions of tracking and identification of beacon technology to other technologies.
