Summary:A study on the working patterns of drug prevention in the Bangkok metropolis, which aimed to study the working patterns and the factors contributing to the prevention of drug addiction in Bangkok community by using qualitative research in the case study of two communities in Bangkok by using "Purposive Sampling" approach. The target groups were two stakeholders as follows: Stakeholders within the community and outside the community groups involved with the total of 38 people. Data was collected by in-depth interviews, group discussions, observation, recording, use of voice recorders, data analysis by classification system and classification, classification and association data by concluding the Inductive analysis with content analysis, Incorporation with typological data analysis and constant comparison. In addition, there was a variety of reliable data validation, data triangulation, and data collection methods by returning data to validation sources. The results of the study showed that the working patterns of drug prevention in the Bangkok community were based on 3C's key strategic concept which consists of Community Focus Based, Community Participation, and Community Justice. It was a way of using both social and legal measures together with community leaders as a key factor contributing to this form of work, called "Form Factor of Leadership, Social and Legal Measures". The emphasis was on the use of social measures primarily because of the diversity of existing communities as a factor in creating communities. The researcher suggested that the government should set a policy on working against narcotics for sustainanble development by applying social measures and legal measures to suit the context of the area or community and strengthen the role of community leaders in clarifying the foundation for proactive work as well as knowledge enhancement policies and the impact of relevant law enforcement measures, operational guidelines build confidence in the confidentiality of the safety of the person reporting the clue. The practical proposals should include career development, income generation, education of the people in the community, and promotion of the development of a family volunteering team to improve the quality of life and participation as the owners of real problems.
