Summary: | The purposes of this research were 1) to examine levels of undergraduate
students' living happiness at Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Pattani campus from happy workplace model 2) to compare levels of living happiness from undergraduate students who were studying in various faculties at PSU, Pattani Campus 3) to study development guideline and increase effectiveness on happy workplace building in perspective of undergraduate students at PSU, Pattani campus.
This research was mixed methods research based on the qualitative research and qualitative research. Data was collected by using questionnaire with 367 students and semi-structured in- depth interviews with 16 students at PSU, Pattani campus. The statistical methods applied in this research were percentage, mean, standard deviation to analyze and describe personal factors. Moreover, Independent-Samples T Test and One - way ANOVA analyzed and compared personal factors affecting to living happiness at PSU,Pattani campus on happy workplace model which contains 8 happy criteria; happy body, happy heart, happy money, happy relax, happy brain, happy soul, happy family and happy society at the 0.05 level of significance.
The findings revealed that 1) the students' living happiness was at high level (X = 3.19), 2) personal factors were gender and residence affecting to living happiness at (PSU), Pattani campus, 3) gender, hometown, GPA and faculty student club affected to students' living happiness in happy body criteria, 4) gender and hometown affected to students' living happiness in happy heart criteria, 5 ) gender affected to students' living happiness in happy money, relaxes and brain criteria, 6) gender, hometown and residence affected to students' living happiness in happy soul criteria, 7) monthly income, residence and student club affected to students' living happiness in happy family criteria, 8) monthly income and residence affected to students' living happiness in happy society criteria. In summary, personal factors affected to students' living happiness with statistical significance. The finding of qualitative was consistent with quantitative. There is no significant different in the results by comparing the levels of living happiness of the faculties in Prince of Songkla University, Pattani campus. Reguarding the development guideline and increase effectiveness on happy workplace building in perspective of undergraduate students at PSU, Pattani campus they researcher found that there were 1)establishing main organization to handle this task, 2)supporting identity creating of the PSU Graduates in order to have "friendly image" to others, 3)supporting businesses operated by the students, 4) having recreation areas for students, and having activities for students consistently, 5)extending library operating hours, having more space for the student's activities such as reading, tuition, and working, 6) supporting student' s self-expression and, PSU Graduates's identity "our souls is for benefit of mankind" , 7)bringing good quality of life and environment during living in the campus to their home, and 8)having good role models from PSU lecturers and staffs and good advices in any matters during campus day. |
