Summary: | This study focuses on the Ummah Concept and its Application in International
Relations. The objectives of this research were to study the concept of ummah in the Quran,
its application in international relations, and the guidelines for effectively building international
relations in the Muslim world. This qualitative research relied on information from documents
and related research in books, articles, research papers, and the Internet. There is also another
important research tool is in-depth interviews with four interviewers who are specialists in
Islamic history, political science, Muslim studies, and the current world . The data were then
analyzed using a descriptive analysis method.
This study revealed that in the Qur'an, the term ummah is mentioned approximately
64 times, with various meanings according to different contexts and interpretations. The
concept of ummah can also be applied to the concept of international relations. It is a concept
that gathers people under the same faith and gathers them in a diverse society without
restrictions on boundaries, ethnicity, and language In addition, coming together under the
concept of ummah, the cooperation of Muslim nations is required to realize the true principles
of ummah as mentioned in the Quran. Moreover, such concepts must be comprehensive in
terms of political, social, and economic. To achieve complete ummah. |
