Summary: | This research was to study the development of learning activity using Modeled Talk strategy to enhance English communicative speaking ability for Mattayomsuksa 5 students of Prince of Songkla University Demonstration School (Secondary). The specific purposes of this research were 1) to develop learning activity using Modeled Talk strategy to enhance English communicative speaking ability 2) to compare English communicative speaking ability by using pretest and posttest scores 3) to evaluate students satisfaction toward the learning activity. The cluster sampling samples used for the experiment were 35 students of Art program of Prince of Songkla University Demonstration School (Secondary). They were enrolling the English Listening and Speaking subject in second semester of academic year 2021. The research instruments included 1) 10 lesson plans focusing on procedure texts in learning activity using Modeled Talk stategy to enhance English communicative speaking ability 2) pretest and posttest 3) Observation form 4) Interviewing form 5) Students' satisfaction checklist. The research results were as follows:
1. Learning activity using Modeled Talk strategy to enhance English communicative speaking ability has efficiency at 79.75/83.75 according to the criteria of 75/75.
2. The students' English communicative speaking ability after learning activity using Modeled Talk strategy was higher than before learning at 0.01 level of statistical significance. 3. The students' satisfaction toward the learning activity was at a high level (4.13 of 5- level scales). |
