Synthesis dan Characterization Xerogels TiO2-SiO2-PDMS by Sol Gel Method

Sol Gel method has attracted wide attention due to its capability to control the structure and microstructure of the products. Hybrid Organic-Inorganic Materials (HOIM) takes the advantages of this method. In this work, PDMS has been used as organic materials, Si and Ti as inorganic materials so the...

Hybrid Organic-Inorganic Materials (HOIM) takes the advantages of this method. In this work, PDMS has been used as organic materials, Si and Ti as inorganic materials so the final product will be TiO2-SiO2-PDMS. Xerogels TiO2-SiO2-PDMS has been prepared using mol comparison 70SiO2-30TiO2 (%mol) and %wt of PDMS to TEOS. Through the solution added catalyst HCl, so the reaction will be in acid condition. Condensation process was 40 hours. Some variables may affect the final products, such as incorporating PDMS and heat treatment temperature. Finally, the samples investigated by XRD, FTIR, SEM and EDS. In general, all of the samples have TiO2 anatase crystal. <br /> text
