| Summary: | The herbs of belulang grass [Eleusine indica (L.) Gaertn] is a plant that traditionally used to cure kidney stone. Research of its chemical compounds are still limited. The goal of this research is to study chemical compound of belulang grass. Crude drug of belulang grass was extracted with maceration using methanol. Methanol extract was fractionated by liquid-liquid extraction and vaccum liquid chromatography. Purified by preparative thin layer chromatography. Isolate was characterization by specific spray reagent, and ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry. The herbs of belulang grass showed the presence of flavonoid, and steroid/triterpenoid. Isolate R had been isolated from methanol extract and has two peaks at 256 nm and 372 nm. The isolate R was tentatively identified as a flavonol that has OH groups at C 3,5, 7, and 3',4' or quersetin. |
