Crude drug of belulang grass was extracted with maceration using methanol. Methanol extract was fractionated by liquid-liquid extraction and vaccum liquid chromatography. Purified by preparative thin layer chromatography. Isolate was characterization by specific spray reagent, and ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry. The herbs of belulang grass showed the presence of flavonoid, and steroid/triterpenoid. Isolate R had been isolated from methanol extract and has two peaks at 256 nm and 372 nm. The isolate R was tentatively identified as a flavonol that has OH groups at C 3,5, 7, and 3',4' or quersetin. text
