Flood is one of many problems that is faced by Bandung community including Kelurahan Cihaurgeulis community. The right solution to overcome this flood problem is to build a good drainage system. But the existing condition of Kelurahan Cihaurgeulis's drainage channel shows that some channels can not be well- functioned. This condition is caused by waste, sediment, wild plants, etc, and lack of community awareness to maintain the drainage channels. Therefore, one of the methods to return the drainage channels function by carrying out the maintenance activity which based on community.<p>The aims of the research are to know the requirement level of infrastructure maintenance activity, community empowerment process, and the correlation level between infrastructure maintenance activity and community empowerment process. The analysis unit of the research is the whole head of families (KK) in RW 05 Kelurahan Cihaurgeulis which are 50 persons. The research is using ratio method between design and existing channels condition, and also statistical method of product moment that used descriptive and associative hypotheses. In order to assist data analyze, field observation and giving questionnaires for all of KK was done.<p>Based on the research result, known that the drainage channels existing is in appropriate condition, but those need regularly maintenance activity. Furthermore, the community empowerment process that was done is voluntary labor service amongst community in RW 05. Lastly, there is positive and significant correlation with medium-rate between the infrastructure maintenance activity and the community empowerment process.
