Summary: | Any development plan of oil and gas field will face uncertainty in determining reserve and optimum reservoir production scenario. Therefore, a study for determining reservoir performance under several parameter sensitivities is necessary to be conducted.
This study was conducted in order to evaluate gas reserve in dry gas reservoir at X Field and also to evaluate reservoir performance under several conditions. After passed process of geology and geophysics analysis, reservoir characterization, and volumetric reserve estimation, two reservoir models were developed for further analysis. This study analyzed two reservoir models to predict minimum and maximum reservoir capabilities to produce. They were developed using numerical simulator CMG (Computer Modeling Group) and evaluated through history matching process. Calculation result the models were compared with real production data obtained at well testing. In assumption that reservoir will produce for 20 years, reservoir performance analysis were conducted concerning sensitivities of fault transmissibility, vertical-horizontal permeability ratio, gas rate, number of wells, and well head pressure.
Simulation result shows that reservoir can produce minimum for 10 years at gas rate 25 MMSCFD. Reservoir will produce optimum for 13 years at gas rate 20 MMSCFD through 5 wells with well head pressure 500 psi, it can give recovery factor74,96 %. Fault lying in the middle of reservoir doesn't influence reservoir performance but vertical-horizontal permeability ratio will influence reservoir performance. |
