Description
Summary:The lack of membrane materials becomes the main constraint in the development of membrane technology in Indonesia. In order to find alternatives for cellulose acetate membrane materials, the use of tofu liquid waste has been carried out in this work. It is expected that the use of this waste can also increase its economic value and decrease its environmental pollution. This research was done to study the effects of sugar concentration on the characteristics of nata de soya prepared by fermentation of tofu liquid waste, amonium sulfate, glacial acetic acid and sugar varied between 1-7% w/w using Acetobacter xylinum for 8 days.
