Operation of the Distributed Generator is not controlled by Distribution Control Center of electrical utility company, because this device owned by another party. Distributed Generator connected on medium voltage network could impact the protection system performances that using Over Current Relay in case of short circuit. The magnitude of Short circuit current at the point of the faulty feeder connected with the Distributed Generator is different with no Distributed Generator there. The Over Current Relay Setting coordination in this network must be re-observed. text |
