Summary:The purpose of this final project is to design and implement a five degree of freedom (DOF) movement system in a 3D scanner platform. The methodology used in research is the determination of topic, literature study, determination of design specifications, system design, system implementation, system testing, and analysis of result. The coverage of this final project are the study of existing 3D scanner technology, study of control algorithm, study of platform's position calibration, study of communication protocol, and the integration and implementation of the former aspects.
