The vehicle generation mechanism determines how vehicles are generated and placed in the road network to start the traffic. The vehicle movement model determines the movement of vehicle on a road lane based on microscopic traffic flow model named Intelligent Driver Model (IDM). By using IDM, movement of every vehicle in the road is calculated with regards of vehicle characteristics, driver behavior and relationship with other vehicles. text
