Description
Summary:The pressure decline of a reservoir can happen as we produce fluid from time to time. Thus, at some point, oil reservoirs will not be able to produce at economical rate. The only way to solve this problem is using the artificial lift methods. There's a lot of method used on artificial lift, but this paper only discuss about Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) and the way to design it to optimize it's works. Some analysis like diameter sensitivity, decline rate, pump depth, design rate, and water cut analysis were done to get an understanding on this. As a result, the decline rate and water cut are two objectives that we should look into than the other one if we want to design an ESP.
