PLN (Persero) Wilayah Sumatra Utara Cabang Medan had experienced many over current faults that caused extinguishing of power supply to consumers. These extinguishing were caused by the condition and the selection of existing protective device which might not based on right standard. This final report is about the study of designing over current protection system for medium voltage distribution system. The design of over current protection system is focused on the coordination between protective devices to have a good selectivity. The standard which is used on this final report is SPLN No.64 Tahun 1985. The protective devices which will be coordinated are fuse, over current relay, and recloser. For sample case, there are two feeders in PT. PLN (Persero) Wilayah Sumatra Utara Cabang Medan which will be analyzed and the protective devices in those feeders will be coordinated. The designs of over current protection system are done in few configurations. |
