When loss synchronization occurs, ARQ looks for the entity which initiates for resynchronization between transmitter and receiver. Resynchronization initiator is determined by whose sync loss timeout occur first between transmitter state machine and receiver state machine. Reset message is sent for telling loss synchronization to other connected side. After resynchronization process is finished, transmitting and receiving data are restarted again. |
