Mine activity is one large series activities, which one and other are connected. In mining activity, drilling process is one important factor that gives influence for mine production activities. Drilling process is to make blast hole as the place for filling up the explosive material that used to disperse massive rock so that can be loaded and transported. In drilling, it is important to do economic study to know about total drilling cost. Total drilling cost is influenced by some parameters such as bit cost, maintenance cost, labor cost, fuel cost and penetration rate. With using all those parameters, will get the result of total drilling cost that can be used to estimate the drilling cost in next production plan. Result of total drilling cost with using historical data from January 2007 until April 2008:<p>RQD (0-30) PLI (0-3) = $ 5.37<p>RQD (0-30) PLI (3-6) = $ 5.89<p>RQD (0-30) PLI (6 >) = $ 6.40<p>RQD (30-60) PLI (0-3) = $ 7.45<p>RQD (30-60) PLI (3-6) = $ 8.75<p>RQD (30-60) PLI (6 >) = $ 9.19<p>RQD (60 >) PLI (0-3) = $ 11.15<p>RQD (60 >) PLI (3-6) = $ 12.79<p>RQD (60 >) PLI (6 >) = $ 15.10<p>Using these results with other parameters such as burden, spacing, rock strength and production plan data, we get the result of drilling cost estimation for 2009 with production 101.384.114 tones is $ 7,525,866, specifically $ 5,750,579 for production drilling and $ 1,775,286 for trim drilling.
