The failures of implementing ERP system also happen in companies in Indonesia.
An ERP system implementation success assessment model is used in this thesis to determine variables affecting the success of ERP system implementation. In the model, there are criteria used for measuring how success the implementation of ERP system in an organization. The model will be applied to a case study involving four companies that are selected to represent companies in Indonesia in general.
The model is originally used by a researcher in Finland. To ensure the model is valid and reliable to be used toward companies in Indonesia, a pilot case study is conducted prior to main case study. The pilot case study involves a company in Indonesia that is considered to be ideal in term of ERP system implementation. The data gathered in case study is in regard to data collection principles to build up strong and accurate data.
Cross-case analysis is utilized to find the key success factor(s) of ERP system implementation after all the data needed has been gathered.
