Description
Summary:Oil and gas production in the country has decreased in recent years. While the Indonesian population is increasing from year to year. Domestic energy consumption is greater than production. In addition to decreased energy production in Indonesia, actually, Indonesia has some energy resources that have not been empowered optimally. One of that potential energy resources are coalbed methane. Approximately 453 TSCF coalbed methane gas resources that are stored in the Earth Indonesia. But Coalbed methane is considered in unconventional gas. Because it has different characteristics than conventional gas that have been developed in Indonesia first. With the same production, lifting cost coalbed methane requires the a greater cost than Conventional Gas. This final attempt to provide a solution, the system of production sharing contracts which can accommodate coalbed methane exploitation. in order to stimulate optimally coalbed methane exploration and exploitation.
