Description
Summary:RoboCupTM competition presents something different from the studies of Artificial Intelligence in the past, in which this competetion is more focused on distributed solutions rather than centralized solutions. It also provides a challenge to the researchers involved not only in robotics and artificial intelligence-related areas but also in the fields of sociology, real-time sytems, mission, critical system, and so forth. One of the research problems in this RoboCupTM is to manifest the intelligence of soccer coach as the knowledge of the robosoccer agent. This research develops management and training applications for robosoccer agent named “ROSEMARY” using appropriate interaction design approach. This is to facilitate soccer experts and robosoccer researchers to collaborate in producing the best intelligence for robosoccer agent. The approach used in the development of user interaction for this application is a simple method that comprises four following steps, namely identifying needs, design, built an interactive version, and evaluation. The evaluation method used in this work is usability testing, whereas DECIDE framework is adopted for the evaluation preparation. Results from this study indicate that the user interaction application that was developed has been able to meet the minimum requirements of soccer experts and researchers. The results of this study may then be used as a base for further development of similar applications.
