Description
Summary:Entrepreneurship has gained more interest at the time of economy crisis nowadays. It is widely viewed as a key aspect in the dynamic of economy, whereas during crisis it can trigger business change as one of the characteristics of creative destruction.

Entrepreneurship is considered as the best multidimensional which means that it is impossible to build the whole from one dimension that reflect total amount of entrepreneurial activities in certain region. However, the use of certain

measurement allows us to identify some dimensions of entrepreneurship and then compare the level of entrepreneurship activity in that region in one dimension at once. Measurement in Indonesia officially uses the data on workforce. This research assess the factors that influence entrepreneurship including market demand, unemployment, availability of skilled labor force, openness of trade, availability of financing and PDRB. Entrepreneurship is represented by the number of entrepreneurs taken from the data on labor force. Quantitative research method was used in this research, in which observation was done to 12 types of similar data during the period of 2006-2010 in three provinces, namely West Java, East Java and East Kalimantan. The result shows that the significant variables are numbers of unemployment and amount of community saving, although other variables still explain the entrepreneurial factors. The limited amount of data observed affects on the incompleteness in making conclusion. Further research can be done by

improvement in data collection to produce reliable information so it can be used in the making of economic policy.
