Summary: | Currently, oil still plays an important role as a source of world energy. Therefore we need a technology that can increase the oil production rate while the demand rate is also increasing. One of the solution is the development of
artificial lift. Two kinds of artificial lift methods are progressing cavity pumping (PCP) and electric submersible pumping (ESP). The objectives of this final project are to

compare these 2 artificial lifts, to analysis pump volumetric efficiency at involved wells, and to find the best optimization that can be applied to involved wells. The involved wells are AX-100 well and AX-29 well at Melibur Field, Riau and belong to Kondur Petroleum S.A.

The average volumetric efficiencies of progressing cavity pump Moyno 20- H-200 which is being operated at AX-100 well are 42% and 80%. At AX-29 well, there is electric submersible pump Centrilift P-22-400 whose average volumetric efficiency is 57%. The optimization for AX-100 well is change pump rotation from 108 RPM into 210 RPM and the production target is 407 BFPD. For AX-29, the

optimization is change the pump installation with new progressing cavity pump, Moyno 15-H-950 at 800 feet as a pump setting depth .The production target of this well is 1.880 BFPD. |
