Therefore we need a technology that can increase the oil production rate while the demand rate is also increasing. One of the solution is the development of <br /> <br /> <br /> artificial lift. Two kinds of artificial lift methods are progressing cavity pumping (PCP) and electric submersible pumping (ESP). The objectives of this final project are to <br /> <br /> <br /> compare these 2 artificial lifts, to analysis pump volumetric efficiency at involved wells, and to find the best optimization that can be applied to involved wells. The involved wells are AX-100 well and AX-29 well at Melibur Field, Riau and belong to Kondur Petroleum S.A. <br /> <br /> <br /> The average volumetric efficiencies of progressing cavity pump Moyno 20- H-200 which is being operated at AX-100 well are 42% and 80%. At AX-29 well, there is electric submersible pump Centrilift P-22-400 whose average volumetric efficiency is 57%. The optimization for AX-100 well is change pump rotation from 108 RPM into 210 RPM and the production target is 407 BFPD. For AX-29, the <br /> <br /> <br /> optimization is change the pump installation with new progressing cavity pump, Moyno 15-H-950 at 800 feet as a pump setting depth .The production target of this well is 1.880 BFPD. text
