The reliability of the compressor and air dryer which is the main equipment in the supply of compressed air must be maintained. One way to <br /> <br /> <br /> keep it is through the process of cooling. Because of available compressors and air dryers require to be cooled using water coolant, the cooling system design should <br /> <br /> <br /> be provide with the main objectives are good performance, easy to be installed and maintained, could be operated safely and economically reasonable. <br /> <br /> <br /> The design of cooling water system has already executed for 13 units of compressors and 3 units of air dryers at peak load with the assumption of weather condition at 30oC dry bulb and 24oC wet bulb temperature. For this full load <br /> <br /> <br /> condition, the system requires 17.496 liter per minute of cooling water flowrate at 25,6 m of pump head. <br /> <br /> <br /> However, the simulation of part load conditions with the variation of ambient air from 20oC up to 24oC wet bulb is also presented. The result show that for a constant load, the temperatur of cooling water inlet and outlet cooling tower will varies according to the variation of ambient air wet bulb temperature due to the constant flow of air provided by constant speed cooling tower impeller fan. It <br /> <br /> <br /> should also be note that this cooling water design requires of amount Rp. 5.575.310.000 for equipment invesment cost approximately. text
