| Summary: | The rapid development of telecommunications technology pushes ahead fast distribution of information via internet. Truthfully, internet technology also supports the business infrastructure, in terms of information distribution and promotion. Recently, the efficiency and effectiveness in business world increase significantly along with the development of information technology. To support the development of national online businesses, this final report examines optimization web site on search engines. The aim is to explain how the web site ranking system on search engines in general is and how to improve the level of popularity and visibility of web sites on search engines (the scope of search engines are Google, Yahoo, and Bing). Therefore, techniques to improve website popularity and visibility in search engines in this final task were elucidated. The research process is divided into several stages, namely observing comparison website on the theme of arts, education, games, commercial, and personal and exploring hypotheses that have been built before, then making an actual web site and performing search engine optimization methods and ultimately analyzing and evaluating results of the research findings. By using Spearman rank correlation technique and the association-causality test, the research results can be analyzed and conclusions are drawn. Based on results of the research conducted, it is concluded that the method of search engine optimization with online blogging technique is effective in increasing popularity and visibility web site on search engines. With the increasing popularity of web sites, hence the amount of traffics and visitors directing to the website and bandwidth needed are increased. The existence of time lag between Search Engine Optimization process and increasing popularity in search engines also occurs. Time lag that occurs is different for each search engine. |
