Description
Summary:As one of oil producer in the world, Indonesia have some oil wells. One of crude oil well in Indonesia is at Sarolangun, Jambi. Over time, crude oil production capacity in the Sarolangun Well increased along with increasing market demand so that needed a new transportation system for transporting crude oil to a collecting station in Jene to support the increased crude oil production capacity.

In this rearch, a feasibility study is done considering the technical aspect and economic aspect of the oil pipeline from Muara Beliti to Jene (part of Sarolangun – Jene). Routes selection was using Google Earth software , as well as the determination of nominal pipe sizes was using HYSYS software are conducted for the assessment of technical feasibility. For the assessment of economic feasibility, a cash flow projection was made and others economic parameter such as IRR, POT, NPV and Toll Fee were calculated

Based on technical analysis conducted in this research, there are 11 alternative routes for the crude oil transportation from Muara Beliti to Jene. Considering all aspect, pipeline route from Semambang to Jene rank with NPS 4’’, toll fee off 0.56 US$/BBL, and the flow rate of 8000 BOPD is the highest among all. The lower the flow rate capacity of the pipeline in every route (0,79 times), then it will have higher toll fee (1.2 times) compared with a high flow rate capacity. Further studies regarding risk and social aspect are recommended for a better decision in selecting the pipeline routes.
