One indicator of the effect of dynamic train load is the amount of vibration displacement that occurred on embankment and subgrade. <br /> <br /> <br /> This thesis is based on field experimental study at two sites of Indonesian Railways, Cipinang and Rancaekek, having different value of soil water content and plasticity index. These vibration were measured using 9 unit of piezoelectric accelerometer sensor mounted vertically on sleeper, the surface of the soil embankment, subgrade surface and at a depth of one meter below the soil surface. <br /> <br /> <br /> acceleration data recorded at varying load and speed. <br /> <br /> <br /> Analysis of displacement obtained from integrating the acceleration data twice in time domain. Vibrational frequency analysis performed with the aid of Fast <br /> <br /> <br /> Fourier Transform process to transform from time domain data into frequency domain. <br /> <br /> <br /> The results show at CH subgrade soil in Rancaekek with plasticity index is 25.21 and 40.05% of water content, the displacement increased with increasing train speed in a linear trend for train speed under 50 km / h and tends to increase exponential for train speed above 50 km/hour. Unlike in Cipinang on SC subgrade soil having plasticity index 14.09 and 16.46% of water content, the pattern of <br /> <br /> <br /> displacement increases linearly up to the highest measurable train speed at 87 km/hour. text
