Description
Summary:Total E & P Company has a project called Fuel Distribution Optimization (FDO), which will be distributing fuel using three Landing Craft Transportation (LCT) to transport fuel to consumers from a depot. LCT will distribute fuel to consumers as much as 92 units, where consumers will be located between 33 distribution points. Problem on Fuel Distribution Optimization is a problem that is often found in the industrial sector that has been studied for more than 40 years. The problem is in the operational research (OR) is known as the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP). Vehicle Routing Problem can be seen as the merger of two problems: minimizing distance route and maximizing fleet capacity, which is given a transport fleet capacity, a depot, and customers to request (demand). All trips begin and end at the depot and fleet travel routes must be designed so that each customer only served exactly once by exactly one fleet. Genetic Algorithm (GA) will be used to find the solution with the help of MATLAB for the simulation.
