Summary:Earth Retaining Structure has widely used as temporary structure such as; basement cut and covers excavation. Temporary Earth Retaining structure has main function as temporary or used during construction. Permeability of clay has average 1.10-5 until 1.10-10 m/sec2, it means in relative short time pore pressure has not been started during construction. So Undrained analysis used for clay because Construction time shortly than excess pore water pressure. <br /> <br /> <br /> Temporary Earth Retaining Structure has behavior differently than permanent Earth Retaining Structure. Temporary Earth Retaining Structure behavior analysis commonly used Method “A” which is used effective strength and effective stiffness (c’,&#61542;’,E’) and Method “B” which is used Total strength and effective stiffness (Su, &#61542;u = 0, E’). From various study show that normally consolidated clay (NC) and overly consolidated clay (OC) have different response in finite element analysis. So in Temporary Earth Retaining Structure should considered appropriate method in prediction analysis. <br /> <br /> <br /> Sensitivity Analysis has been done to conduct that Temporary Earth Retaining Structure has main major to study. Analysis show that Deformation influences by initial stress, wall stiffness. On the other hand safety factor analysis influences by embedded length of wall, interface or reduction factor due to disturbances of wall construction. <br />
