But on other hand, IT infrastructures which support the company are not flexible enough for anticipating business process change. In addition, high cost consuming for implement supporting technologies always happen. To solve that problem, it requires a method as well as an agile and flexible IT architecture model which adjust to the market condition dynamically. Service– Oriented Architecture (SOA) is one proposed solution that could answer those problems. This thesis aims to understand SOA concept and its contemporary characteristic as well as its implementation base on study case at PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk (PT. TELKOM) by focusing on new fixed line installation activity including <br /> <br /> <br /> customer registration, work order submission and work order fulfillment process. Preliminary study has been done to analyze service-oriented for defining service <br /> <br /> <br /> candidates over application, business and orchestration layer. The next stage is service-oriented design by using core standards of SOA (XML, SOAP, and WSDL) and designing business process over orchestration layer by using Business Process Execution Language (BPEL). Finally, a web service based SOA was developed by <br /> <br /> <br /> using .NET framework. This research yields a loosely couple architecture that consist of reusable services, <br /> <br /> <br /> and realizes a prototypical web service that enable communication with others even in different platform. text
