In this final project, the author developed one of the implementation of machine reading in image based numerical character recognition by using perceptron algorithm, a model in artificial neural network. This system combined image processing technique and artificial intelligence approach through four main steps: preprocessing, segmentation, extraction and recognition, and post postprocessing. The result of the training process showed that the network can recognized 3 of 4 of target pattern and determined which character is zero and which one is not. text |
