Description
Summary:The geographical position of Indonesia is located on the mountain path keep the active geothermal potential of 28 GW, about 30-40% of the world. Government plans to develop up to 9500 MW at 2025.

PLTP examined is PLTP Lahendong, North Sulawesi. This PLTP uses the binary system PLTP with fluid n-pentane. The binary system is used because the wells have a low temperature, i.e. 138oC. From existing cycle taken the pressure, temperature, rotational speed and power. Then, from those parameters were chosen a suitable type of turbine based on specific speeds, literature reviews, and manufacturing processes. Turbine type chosen is the impulse turbines with two levels of pressure.

The calculation is performed to find the best internal efficiency turbines each level by assuming the price u/c1 then those parameters used to determine the dimensions of nozzles and blades which will be drawn using Autodesk Inventor. Internal efficiency obtained from the calculation will be compared with the assumption of efficiency from the initial design. Internal efficiency of the internal which is designed for 0.82 and 0.66 obtained at the end of the calculation.
