Summary:The consumption of electricity as one of main necessities in human daily life is increasing along with the development of technology and the increase of human <br /> <br /> <br /> dependency of electricity. Thus, a reliable power plant is needed to solve this problem. <br /> <br /> <br /> Large amount electrical consumption of Kota Jababeka as both industrial and residential area is the most challenging problem for Kota Jababeka’s administrator who establishes PT Bekasi Power that operates 130MW Gas and <br /> <br /> <br /> Steam Power Plant with the intension of becoming an alternative solution for industrial area electrical consumption. In order to maintain its reliability, the right maintenance procedure called Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) has to be implemented. <br /> <br /> <br /> Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method on heat recovery steam generator in PLTGU Bekasi Power was implemented in this research. The identification of failure mode, probable failure cause and the probable failure effect were firstly done. Afterwards, FMEA was made and Risk Priority Number (RPN) for HRSG was calculated in order to determine which failure mode should has priorities over the other one. At last, according to RPN number and FMEA decision chart, the suitable maintenance method is determined for this power plant to maintain its reliability. The suggested method in this research is expected to be a reference maintenance method, not only in PT Bekasi Power later, but also for anyone who might need to use it in the future.
