In general, post-disaster reconstruction simply cannot rely on the normal procedures to implement the adequate and required response and handling. For the purpose of implementation, the contractor needs to design a proper post-disaster logistics system. A well-organized logistics management of material is important to handle the purchasing and receiving, storing and shipping of materials to areas in need. <br /> <br /> <br /> Material logistics system is essential and has a more important priority than other activities. In some post-disaster reconstruction cases, it is commonly found problems related to the late delivery and non-uniformly distributed of materials due to the damaged distribution lines and material scarcity in the local area. <br /> <br /> <br /> Thus the post-disaster logistics systems need to be designed properly, especially on the material distribution part. Inappropriate material distribution system resulting in a longer distribution time may cause a low material compliance which is required for reconstruction activities in location where disaster occur. Since the success of a project highly depends on the logistical coordination and all aspects within and outside the project, efforts for arrangement are necessary to build a harmonious work and synergy effects. <br /> <br /> <br /> The purpose of this study is to identify the logistics processes of material on post-disaster reconstruction projects and to identify problems faced by contractors in managing the logistics of material and ways to resolve the issue. <br /> <br /> <br /> The result of this study includes the description of the patterns made by material logistics contractors to overcome the problems arising in post-disaster reconstruction projects and how the material distribution networks is conducted in the post-disaster reconstruction state. text
