The government has planned the implementation of the Jakarta MRT construction projects in order to overcome the problem of transportation in the city of Jakarta. MRT is an infrastructure of high-tech conditions, be it in the process of construction and operation. One of them is the technology that will be used in the construction of the tunnel (subway), the technology Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM). Until now still not known clearly readiness level of local contactors to be involved role in the implementation of a tunnel construction project with TBM technology applications. This requires the development of readiness assessment models, to assess the extent to which local contractors readiness levels based on the their capacity and capabilities. The level of readiness is defined as the ratio of the ideal skills to have a contractor to be considered ready to engage a role in the implementation of the project with the capacity and ability. Trials conducted in eight large contractors who are considered qualified to carry out this project. And based on the results of the calculation and analysis have been obtained a number of roles that allow local contractors to be involved in the construction of MRT tunnels Jakarta, namely by acting as a contractor shaft construction, subcontractor supplier precast material or cooperation partial joint operation with foreign contractors.
